Adeline Balfour, age 85, of Hamilton passed away peacefully in her home on Monday April 17, 2023. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 22, 1938 the daughter of Salvatore and Grace (Daguano) Signa. She was united in marriage to William C Balfour III on September 13, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York.  He preceded her in death on September 25, 1999. Above all else, Adeline loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed going to the theater, watching game shows on TV, reading a good book, playing the slots, and drinking a nice glass of Merlot to relax.

She is survived by her six children, William (Maria) Balfour IV, Valerie Sackenheim (Scott Weinheimer), Edward (Kimberly) Balfour, Doreen (Joseph) Hinchberger, Robert (Anne) Balfour, and Heather Balfour (Jeffrey Prentner); 12 grandchildren, Rachel (Matt Cox) & Jimmy Sackenheim, Eddie (Anna) & Sophia (Samuel Pilato) Balfour, Andrew, Evan & Austin Hinchberger, Billy & Anthony Balfour, and Ian, Leo, & Eve Balfour;  two great grandchildren Wesley & Brady Cox; and a sister, Santa Terribile.

Besides her husband and parents, Adeline was preceded in death by her two brothers, Thomas and Stefano Signa.

Visitation will be held from 5:00—7:00pm on Thursday April  20, 2023 at Zettler Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday April 21, 2023 at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church in Hamilton.  Entombment will be in St. Stephen Mausoleum. A reception to follow after the committal service at the Fenmont Center 229 N. Third St. Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
