WARD, R. Alan age 61 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015. Alan was born in Waynesville, North Carolina on February 17, 1954, the son of Charles and Ada (Mason) Ward. On June 20, 1981, he married Linda J. West at Zion Lutheran Church, Hamilton, Ohio. Alan attended the Vineyard Church and served as a Chaplain at the Healing Center.

He was a graduate of Hamilton Taft High School and Miami University. He is remembered dearly by many as a skilled educator, empowering coach and caring mentor. He was a man of great faith and integrity, and a model of loving devotion to his family and friends.

Alan is survived by his wife Linda; sons, Andy and Jonny Ward; his mother, Ada "Susie" Ward; sisters, Susan (James) Lane and Laurie Jo Banker; an uncle, Tom Ward; an aunt Josephine Castro; two brothers-in-law, Bob (Ann) West and Roger (Michelle) West; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Rodney) Roth; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Ward.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00PM Friday at the Vineyard Cincinnati Chapel, 11340 Century Cir E, Springdale, OH 45246. Visitation will be from 3-6:00PM Friday at the Chapel. Zettler Funeral Home is serving the family. Online register book is available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
