SENGER, Albert H. age 87 of Fairfield died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Triple Creek Retirement Community. He was born in Hamilton on August 2, 1923, the son of Albert C. and Marie R. (Quell) Senger, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp having served during WWII in Normandy, earning four bronze stars. On September 5, 1942, in St. Veronica Church he married Evelyn M. Lindsay. Mr. Senger worked as an engineer for White Industries for over twenty years retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Ann Church, the P.A.C., Knights of Columbus Father Butler Council # 968 3rd degree, and Father Butler Assembly 4th degree #814. Albert enjoyed bowling in the P.A.C. and Knights of Columbus leagues. He was an avid outdoors person enjoyed camping, fishing, photography, and all things related to computers.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; four children, David (Carol) Senger of Hamilton, Diane (Kenneth) Howard of Springboro, Donna DeJohn of Hamilton, Denise Whitehead of Cincinnati,; nine grandchildren, David J. (Sherri) Senger, Jennifer (John) Davis, Michael (Sara) Senger, Matthew, Jeffrey (Shawna) and Becca Howard, Shannon Senger, Anthony "T.J." and Justin DeJohn; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Senger and Campbell and Rosella Davis; two brothers, Robert (Pat) and Donald (Doris) Senger; a sister-in-law, Chris Senger; brother-in-law, Robert (Carol) Lindsay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Albert W. Senger; a granddaughter, Anna Senger; three brothers, Vernon, Frederick, and Kenneth Senger.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in St. Ann Church, with Fr. Stephen Mondiek celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Sunday with K of C 3rd degree services at 6:30PM followed by 4th degree services, in the funeral home.
