KOLLSTEDT, Alberta M. age 90 of Hamilton died early Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 3, 1923, the daughter of Louis C. and Mary (Beckman) Bieker and was a 1941 graduate of Notre Dame High School. On September 15, 1951, in St. Peter in Chains Church she married Julius W. Kollstedt who preceded her in death on February 6, 2003. In her youth, she was an active participant in fast pitch softball and basketball. An avid sports enthusiast, she enjoyed following her children in sports as well as the Cincinnati Reds and Xavier Basketball.

Survivors include six children, Martha Kollstedt, Carol (Tom) Bennett, Mary Kollstedt (Bill Butsch), Jean Kollstedt, James J. (Tami) Kollstedt, and Sue Kollstedt; 5 grandchildren, Kasey (Brad) Frank, Kyle (Mae) Kollstedt, Keith Kollstedt, Cathy (Nick) Miller and Becky Kollstedt: 2 great grandchildren, Paige Frank and Konrad Kollstedt; a sister, Betty Gardner.

Besides her husband, Julius, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Kollstedt in 1976; three brothers, Louis E. "Bud," Adrian F (Weezer), and Richard Bieker; a sister, Helen Snyder.

The family wishes to express their thanks to long term caregiver Naomi Cates for the excellent care she provided.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Tuesday in St. Peter in Chains Church. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Rd.
