Alverta S. Underwood age 46 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away Sunday December 10, 2023 in University Hospital Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born in Irvine, Kentucky on April 10 1977 the daughter of Charles Earl and Alece (Bowman) Underwood.

Survivors include her husband, Armando Mares; her parents, Charles Earl Underwood and Alece Underwood; six children, Monica Palma (Daniel), Marlen Palma, Ciara Palma, Brenda Mares, Anahi Mares and Luis Mares; nine grandchildren, Christian, Jocelyn, Jacqueline, Santiago, Alece, Valentina, Dayanara, Austin "Javi", and Axsel; two sisters, Lola and Jeanene Underwood; two brothers, Lannie (Katelyn) Richardson, Daniel (Sherrie) Conard; her close cousins Amy Perkins and Larry Joe Hazelwood who where more like siblings to her, and best friend, Joetta Smith. Preceding Alverta in death, a  Brother Charles E. Underwood II; Aunt Barbie Hazelwood and many more loved ones. Alverta only had one wish when she was growing up and that was to be a mommy. She was one of the best mommy's in the world. She even had many adopted children as she would call them because everyone looked at her like their mom and she treated them like such. Her love was so pure. She would always give a helping hand to anyone. She was always there for everyone. God really did gain an angel. She will be in heaven cooking and dancing cumbias. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday December 19, 2023 in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, OH 45015. Visitation will be from 10:00am-12noon Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in  Greenwood cemetery.
