Obituary

MILLIGAN, Ann Imfeld, age 94 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away on Sunday December 14, 2014. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 22, 1920, the oldest of eleven children born to Clem F. and Agnes (Cochran) Imfeld Sr. Ann was educated at St. Ann's Elementary and Notre Dame Girl's Academy. She was valedictorian of her 1938 graduating class. On February 13, 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico she married Robert S. Milligan, where he was serving in the U.S. Air Corp as a B17 pilot during WWII. After the war, they settled in Fairfield, Ohio where they raised three sons and celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing in January 2006. They were charter members of Sacred Heart Church.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, Patrick I. (Kathy) Milligan, and Timothy I. (Judi) Milligan; daughter-in-law, Sheila Milligan; grandchildren, Kelli (Ken) Stammen Jr., Kimberly Milligan, Tara (Nick) Scalf, Scott (Cassie) Milligan, Tiffany Milligan, Erin (Franco) Minton, Shawn (Lacey) Milligan, and Ryan (Lauren) Milligan; eleven great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bert C. Imfeld, Eileen (Peter) Donahue, and James (Maureen) Imfeld; sisters-in-law, Betty Imfeld, Jo Ann Imfeld, Ruthie Milligan of California, and Ruth Milligan of Columbus, Ohio; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Robert S. "Tex" Milligan Jr.; brothers, Clem F. Jr., Ferd, Pierre (infancy), and Hugh Imfeld; sisters, Loretta Schick, Rita Doellman, and Beatrice Depweg.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Tri-County Extended Care for their dedicated care, to Hospice of Cincinnati, and to the Sacred Heart Parish Ministry.

Prayers will be offered at 10:30am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:30am-10:30am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
