He had a Naval career with nearly 19 years service in the United States Navy, with a rank of Chief Petty Officer . Served in both Gulf Wars, Operation Restore Hope in Somalia and the Bosnia conflict.

Prayers will be offered at 12:15 PM Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. Monday in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Millville, Ohio.
