SCHUTTE, Barbara A., age 64 of Hamilton, died Friday, April 6, 2007 in Huntington Court Nursing Home. She was born in Dayton, OH on January 5, 1943, the daughter of Theodore and LaDema (Tomlin) Schemmel. A 1961 graduate of Notre Dame High School, she later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education, from Miami University. Mrs. Schutte had worked in retail sales and later as a school teacher at Hamilton Public schools and St. Joseph grade school. Most recently she had worked as a library Technician at Miami University, King Library, special collections, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Julie Billiart Parish and was a professed Secular Franciscan. She was a member of the Governor Bebb Pioneer group.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; five children, Dorothy (Mark) Miller, of Colerain TWP, Pamela (Roger) Renner, of Fairfield, Pauletta (Mark) Morrast, of Stafford, Virginia, William Schutte, of Hamilton and Marie (Dan) Quay, of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; a brother, James (Karen) Schemmel; three sisters, Rosemary (Gerald) Clark, Kathy Schemmel, and Julia (Fred) Behrens.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Tuesday in St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00 pm Monday in the funeral home.
