Ruoff, John "Bart" – age 61, of Fairfield, passed away on October 16, 2021 at the Hospice of Hamilton. Bart was born on August 27, 1960 in Hamilton, OH, the son of John and Barbara Ruoff. He married Anita Schwartz on September 15, 1984.

Bart was a lifelong servant of God and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He was an avid sports fan and followed all the Cincinnati sports teams, especially the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. Bart also enjoyed fishing and the great outdoors. He was a loving and supportive husband who loved his faith and family above everything. Bart will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Bart is survived by his wife, Anita, of 37 years; his brother, Matt (Susan) Ruoff; his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Tim (Marilyn) Schwartz, Tom (Charlotte) Schwartz, Karen (Dave) Chasteen, Steve (Phyllis) Schwartz, Kenny (Carolyn) Schwartz, and Linda (Brian) Lester; his nieces and nephews, Mike (Becky) Schwartz, Chris (LeeAnn) Schwartz, Brian (Lauren) Schwartz, BethAnn Schwartz, Tommy Schwartz, Melissa (Nick) Moore, Paul (April) Schwartz, Chuck Schwartz, Steven (Emily) Schwartz, Kim (Chris) Ray, Christina Schwartz, Dan (Jessica) Schwartz, Michelle (Jordon) Johnson, Matthew Lester, Mya Lester, and Ben Lester; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Chris Ruoff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Road, Fairfield, OH 45014. Prayers will be held at 9:30 AM, prior to the service, at Zettler Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, OH 45015. Memorial Donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
