Rhoads, Benny E Jr., Age 85 of Hamilton died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, in Hospice of Hamilton. Benny was born in Cork, Ohio, February 5, 1923, the son of Benny Ezra and Verla (Potter) Rhoads. On October 31, 1945, in Covington KY, he married Lillie Mae Biere. Benny served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He was a partner in R and M Brick Construction Company for 19 years from 1959-1978, and later worked for Pyramid Masonry until 1985. Benny was a member of the American Legion Post # 138 for 48 years, was a Kentucky Colonel, and a 61 year member of Bricklayers Local # 18.
He is survived by his wife Lillie; from their marriage four children were born; two sons, Gary (Joahn) Rhoads, and Benny (Sue) Rhoads, both of Hamilton; two daughters, Cathleen (Joe) Triacheff, of Columbus, OH; Sandra Glover (deceased); eight grandchildren, Amy Rhoads, Dori Frederick, Lance (Kim) Rhoads, Jeff Rhoads, Beth Randolph, Randy (Tracy) Glover, Rob (Melissa) Glover, Sheri (Stacy) Moermond; A son-in-law George Glover; a brother William Rhoads; a half-brother Danny Chamberlin; a half-sister Donna (James) Anderson ; special friends the Schwab family and Arment/Walker familes; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rhoads is preceded by his parents, one brother Edwin, and one sister Doris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Dr. John Lewis officiating, followed by burial in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 am Saturday, in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013.
