Benton Smith passed away after a long battle with leukemia on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025. He was 65 years young. He is survived by his loving family: sons, Benny Smith and Justin Smith; his 3 sisters and 5 brothers, Loretta Taylor, Geraldine Laws, Alice Smith, Jimmy Smith, Schuyler Smith, Lonnie Smith, Donnie Smith and Frank Smith; as well as many more cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Benton was born on March 23rd, 1959, in Pineville, Kentucky to Frank Thomas (FT) and Senie Smith, who preceded him in death. His sisters and brother who preceded him in death: Ethel Mae Barnett, Rosanna Wagers and Henry Smith.

Benton lived his life to the fullest, always remaining young at heart. He always spoke about Jesus and believed in Him. He was a great painter, incredibly hard-working, and wouldn't hesitate to help anyone with various projects. He would always put a smile on your face with his humor. He liked playing around with guitars and go fishing. His family will miss his big hearted presence in their lives.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Avenue, followed by a memorial service at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to any local church or any charitable organization.
