Obituary

HOFFMANN, Bernard M., age 84, of Liberty TWP, died Saturday Morning, April 7, 2007 in Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash, Ohio. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on August 6, 1922, the son of Benjamin and Virginia (Duffy) Hoffmann. On August 8, 1945, in Hamilton, he married Emma Childs. Mr. Hoffmann served in the US Marine Corp, as a pilot, during WWII, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He had worked in Test Cell Maintenance, for General Electric Evendale Plant, for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Julie Billiart Parish and the VFW # 1069.

Survivors include his wife Emma; three sons, Bernard (Lori) Hoffmann Jr., D. Vincent (Carolyn) Hoffmann, and Joe (Gina) Hoffmann; four daughters, Cynthia (Tom) Collins, Stephanie (Doug) Entenman, Lisa (Stephen) Broadus, and Suzanne (Craig) Smith; eighteen grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnne Roark, and Albert "Tootie" Wells; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Hoffmann; three brothers-in-law, Gene Hulshult, Willard (Hester) Childs, and Marvin Childs.

He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Hoffmann in 1991; four sisters, Anne Service, Virginia Roof, Mary Ellen Abrams, Helen Hulshult; a brother, Charles Hoffmann.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
