Obituary

HARRIS, Bertie L. age 98 of Hamilton died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Elberton, Georgia on August 20, 1913, the daughter of John and Sally (Baumgarten) Williams. On February 22, 1931, in Covington, Kentucky she married William M. Harris and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1989. Mrs. Harris was a member of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her two children, Dolores (Floyd) Hopper of Hamilton, and Phillip R. Harris of West Carrollton; nine grandchildren, Cathy (Robert) Duerler, Gary (Robin) Hopper, Linda (Robert) Reimer, Anita (Doug) Smith, Jennifer (Tony) Hoffman, LuAnn (Ken) Houk, Brian (Diane), Todd, and Matt Harris; eleven great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Harris; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, William, she was also preceded in death by a son, William K. Harris; a granddaughter, Cindy Harris; three brothers, Elmer, Robert, and Frank Williams; two sisters, Irma Rose and Caroline Bouten.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating, followed by burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of Donor's choice. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
