JOHNSON, Betty D. age 86 of Oxford died Friday, August 28, 2009, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born on May 24, 1923, the daughter of Oscar and Viola (Ludwick) Baker. On October 21, 1961, in Hamilton she married Victor Johnson Jr., and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1991.

Survivors include four children, Dana (William) Marting of Cincinnati, Dick (Judy) Pottenger of Hamilton, Dena (James) Morsch of Fairfield, and Victor (Brenda) Johnson III of Hamilton; daughter-in-law, Ann Pottenger of Hamilton; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grand children; two nephews, Gene and Lowell Roark; longtime best friend, Helen Morris; dear neighbors, Larry and Kelly Stigall. The family wishes to express special thanks to the 4th floor nurses of Fort Hamilton hospital, especially Danielle and Tammy.

Besides her husband Victor, she was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Pottenger on March 9, 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating, followed by burial in Millville Cemetery.
