MULLEN, Betty L. age 83 of Hamilton, died Saturday January 31, 2009 in Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 25, 1925 the daughter of Fred and Sophie (Wehmeier) Schmidt. Mrs. Mullen had been a dietary worker at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton, for twenty years, retiring in 1990. She attended the Redeemer United Church of Christ.

Survivors include eight children, Kathy (Roger) Becker, of Hamilton, Heather (Ben) Chambers, of Mason, Christopher Mullen, and Holly (John) Church, both of Hamilton, Betty Mullen, of Middletown, Brenda Cavaledge, of Fairfield, Robert W. (Sue) Mullen Jr., of Monroe, and Karen (Dave) Downie, of Fairfield; eight grandchildren, Steven Ellis, Matthew (Sarah) Ellis, Richie and Bobby Lewellyn, Aric Cavaledge, Brittany and Ryan Mullen, and Kyle Downie; three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Mullen; and three great grandchildren, Gabriel, Brady and Miles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Pastor Kim Katterheinrich officiating, followed by burial in Arlington Memorial Garden. Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm Tuesday
