Swaisgood, Brett D. age 43 of Fairfield Township, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on October 21, 1977, the son of Fred and Lin (Baumgartner) Swaisgood.  He married the love of his life, Therese L. Ferry at Sacred Heart Church on August 4, 2001

For the last 20 years, Brett was a loving and dedicated husband and father.  He rarely missed a sports game, dance recital, performance, or anything his children were involved in. Their interests became his obsessions.  His legacy will live on through those of us he touched, and in nowhere is that more apparent than in his five beautiful children.  His impressive culinary skills were constantly on display, from feeding his family, bringing delicious meals to parties, or suppling wonderful home cooked meals to Therese and hospital family. His genuine love for cooking was something he passed on and enjoyed with his lovely daughter, Alyssa.  Brett was a kind and generous person, who would give you the shirt off his back, his last dollar, or advice to get you through life's challenging situations. He was the best confidant you could ask for, but also would hit you with his quick wit and biting one-liners.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield, Ohio. Brett cherished his various soccer coaching position, but perhaps none of those official jobs came close to the pride and joy he took in his most important soccer role: proud dad to two gifted wonderful goalies. There is a special bond between goalies, perhaps because it takes a delicate balance of fearlessness and crazy.

Survivors include his wife, Therese; his father, Fred Swaisgood; five children, Gabriel, Collin, Andrew, Alyssa, and Olivia Swaisgood; brother, Craig (Sarah) Swaisgood and their daughter, Shiloh; in-laws, Merle and Diana Ferry, David (Mary) Ferry, Daniel Ferry, Raymond Ferry, Michelle (Rob) Bubemyre, Jennifer (Patrick) Ruetschle, Renee (Matthew) Westrich, Cathy (Jeff) Bross, Maria (Dan) Mushaben, and Becky (Jeff) Bowles.  Nieces and Nephews: William Bubemyre; Elizabeth, Sarah, Christopher, Fritz, and Anne Ruetschle; Nolan, Colleen, Rachel, Nicole, and Julie Westrich; Natalie and Simon Mushaben; Jeffrey, Ryan, and Lilly Bowles.  As well as his extended family and an abundance of friends. We will all miss him more than words can say.

Brett was preceded in death by his mother Lin Swaisgood and grandfather Dwight Swaisgood.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. in Hamilton, Ohio.  Please come decked out in your Bengals gear.  Following the visitation will be a Funeral service at 5:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home. The family requests that masks be worn at the visitation and funeral service.
