WOLF, Carl Richard, "Dick", age 79 of Fairfield, died early Thursday morning, July 6, 2006, in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 18, 1927, the son of Frank and Viola (Kramer) Wolf and graduated from Hamilton High School with the class of 1945. Mr. Wolf served in the US Navy during WWII. On May 26, 1951, in St. Veronica Church, he married Kathleen Nichting. He was Sales Director and Assistant Executive Director of Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries, being employed there for 29 years, retiring on March 1, 1991. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and the K of C Father Butler Council. An Avid golfer, he also enjoyed gardening. He and his wife were members of the Starlighters Dance Club, for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; seven children, Don (Janet) Wolf, Barbara Wolf, Nancy (Jim) Brunner, Mike (Carol) Wolf, Jim (Sue) Wolf, Bob (Cindy) Wolf and Kathy Jo (Steve) Schnapp; twenty grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Wolf in 1992.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Monday in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00PM Sunday at the funeral home.
