THYEN, Carole A. age 72 of Hamilton passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 4, 1943, the daughter of Lloyd and Mildred (Hartlieb) Beckett, and she attended Notre Dame and Garfield High School. Carole enjoyed gardening and plants. She was an animal lover, caring for many different animals throughout her life.

Survivors include three sons, John Thyen of Madison, WI, Dan (Erinn) Thyen of Seven Mile, Ohio and Eric (Debbie Olszowka) Thyen of West Chester, Ohio; four grandchildren, Seth, Luke, Ava, and Emma Thyen; a sister, Judy Beckett; two half brothers, Richard and Brent Beckett; a half sister, Tammy Beckett, all of Portage, WI.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two half brothers, Neil and Ernest Beckett.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10:00AM Friday in the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011.
