Catherine peacefully departed us for her Heavenly Home on Saturday, March 7, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, surrounded by loving family. She was 100 years old. Many precious souls have already reached out to embrace her.

She was the great-grandmother of 10; Dominic and Sofia Ruble, Isaiah Montgomery, Kayla Garrity, Cameron, Alloura, and Xander Jackson, Maggie and Eva McIntosh, and Austin Minges.
Catherine was the daughter of Henry Theising and Catherine Weber Theising, and the older sister of Dorothy Theising and Henry "Hank" Theising. All preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a special sister-in-law, Anna Sue Theising.
She was our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Family bonds were of the utmost priority to Catherine.
Cath was born on November 18, 1919, in St. Louis and attended McCooey Catholic High School in Hannibal, MO, graduating in 1937. She worked at numerous jobs before marriage and motherhood, including during WW2 at the Pentagon, and in Miami. She was married to James A Montgomery on October 26, 1946 at St. Pius V in St. Louis. Twin brothers Tom and Tim were born in 1948, followed by Ann in 1953, and Paul in 1960. Together with their children, they lived in Monroe City, St. Ann, Florissant, and Farmington in MO, and in Fairfield, OH. She was a member of many Catholic parishes throughout her life, including St Pius in St. Louis, Blessed Sacrament in Hannibal, Holy Rosary in Monroe City, Our Lady of Fatima in Florissant, St. Joseph in Farmington, St. Angela Merici in Florissant, and Sacred Heart of Jesus in Fairfield. Her husband, Jim, preceded her in death in 1995, after 49 years of marriage. Her daughter, Ann, also preceded her into Paradise in 1957, along with her son, Timothy, in 2017.
Our family would like to mention a special thank you to employees of Hospice Vitas, caregiver Rebecca Andersen, and the Rev. Fr. Larry Tharp.
