Obituary

Gaynor, Charles H. Jr. age 91 of West Chester, Ohio passed away Monday, February 20, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 4, 1932 the son of Charles H. and Vashti (Dameron) Gaynor. On September 8, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio he married Anna Mae Lane. He was a long time member of the Faith Community United Methodist Church, West Chester where he was active in the Sunday school, Church newsletter, Prime Timers and for many years organized their Salute to Veterans program.

Charlie was an electrical engineer and involved in the robotics industry retiring from Cincinnati Milacron and ABB. He is a graduate of Xavier University with a Master's in Business Administration, University of Cincinnati Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master Machinist with the Cincinnati Milling Machine Company and Withrow High School Class of 1950. He was a past member of SME, Robotics Institute of America and other professional organizations.

A 65 year member of Cincinnati Mt. Washington Yeatman Lodge #162 F&AM reaching the degree of Master Mason.  Was a former member of the Columbia United Methodist Church in the east end of Cincinnati where he was a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader and involved in boy scouting.

He was a gentleman farmer in Adams County on Wheat Ridge for over 20 years.  He had a talent for woodworking and passion for classical music.  He had numerous books in his library but especially loved books about history, England and Germany.  His Charles Dickens book and figurine collections were impressive and some of his favorites

Survived by his wife of 66 years, Anna; 4 children, Charles (Barbara) Gaynor, Patricia (Michael) Billhorn, Scott (Michelle) Gaynor and Linda Maudlin; nine grandchildren;  Sarah Worley(Randy), Andrew Gaynor (Jennifer), Matthew Gaynor (Erika), Lindsay Novak (John), Julie Wilson (Josh),Brandon Gaynor, Connor Maudlin, Vivian Maudlin and Fletcher Maudlin,  nine great grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Grueninger. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and four sisters, Joseph Gaynor, Dorothy Mahlenkamp, Anna May Bartlow, Joyce Ward and Charlotte Gaynor.  He was a loving member of the Lane Family and adored by many nieces and nephews.

Charlie loved God and Country and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday February 24, 2023 in the Chesterwood Village Chapel, 8073 Tylersville Rd. West Chester, Ohio 45069. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00AM Friday in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Masonic service is planned.
