SHALLOE, Charlotte M. age 87 of Fairfield died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on July 10, 1922, the daughter of Clyde and Ruth (Tibbets) Case. In 1945 at St. Ann Church, she married Robert C. Shalloe, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1983. Mrs. Shalloe was a charter member of Sacred Heart Church, and in good health she enjoyed flower gardening and wild bird watching.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Engel; two sons, Robert H. "Bump" Shalloe, and Donald A. (Jenny) Shalloe, all of Fairfield; four grandchildren, Erin Hughes, Sarah (Michael Clifford) Shalloe, Peggy (Jim) Young, and Jill Cole; two great-grandchildren, Lisa Cole and Nick Young.

Besides her husband Robert, she is also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dick Engel, and a sister, Mary Shalloe.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Tuesday in Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Tharp celebrant. Visitation will be from 6-9:00pm Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church.
