MEYER, Clara Dolores "Dodie" , age 87, died Friday, September 17, 2010 at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 18, 1923. She was the daughter of Clarence N, and Mathilda (Zang) Rommel. Dolores was a 1941 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Hamilton, Ohio. She was employed by the Mosler Safe Company and Champion Paper. She married Robert W. Meyer on January 24th, 1948 at St Stephen's Catholic Church in Hamilton. She is survived by: Four children, Donna Jean (Robert) Truster, Kings Mills, Ohio Gregory R. (Linda) Meyer, Davenport, Iowa Beverly A. (Igor) Lenicky, Villa Hills, Kentucky and Robert W. (Kimberly) Meyer, Jr., Goshen, Ohio grandchildren Erica (Jason) Leiprecht. Hebron, Kentucky, Valerie Truster, Scottsdale, Arizona, David (Jennifer) Johnson, Park City, Utah, Trisha (Joseph) Hearn, Dubuque, Iowa, Alexander (Anne) Lenicky, Churchill, Pennsylvania, Doria Lenicky, Warminster, Pennsylvania Tara (Andrew) Bates, Goshen, Ohio and Kelly Rose,
Goshen, Ohio, Ten great-grandchildren, sister Lois R. (Lee) Taylor, Manchester, Ohio and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband
Robert W. Meyer, Sr., sisters Lucille A. Willey and Patricia A. Stone, brothers Richard F. and James C. Rommel, niece Regina Parnitzke and nephew Wm. Wayne Rommel.

Mass of Christian Burial will offered at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder chapel at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday with Fr. Terry Meehan celebrant. Visitation will be from 10:00- 11:00 am. Tuesday at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. The family would like to thank Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, especially, the 4th floor nursing staff and aides, and activities department and Hospice of Cincinnati staff for all their exceptional loving care of Clara. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, 1302 Millville Avenue, Hamilton 45013 or Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242 in Clara Dolores's memory.
