HUDSON, Clarence E. age 90 of Hamilton, died Monday, April 27, 2009 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 3, 1919 the son of George and Florence (Niemeyer) Hudson and was a 1938 Graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. Mr. Hudson served in the US Army during WWII. On June 7, 1947 in St. Joseph Church, he married Marcella L. Lenehan and she preceded him in death on May 30, 1978. He had worked at ARMCO Steel, Middletown, for thirty-three years, retiring in 1983. During the 1960's he owned and operated the Tip Top Creamy Whip. He was a life long member of St. Veronica Church and later St. Julie Billiart Parish where he was very active in the St. Vincent dePaul Society of the church.
Survivors include his two sons, Gregory (Mary) Hudson, of Cincinnati, and Douglas (Merilee) Hudson, of Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren, Megan, Adam, Ben, Drew, and James Hudson; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman "Dutch" and William Hudson; a sister, Catherine Hudson.
Prayers will be offered at 10:30am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Saturday in St. Julie Billiart Church with Fr. Michael Pucke celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am Saturday in the funeral home.
