SCHNEIDER, Clifford C. age 100 passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Woodlands of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 3, 1918, the son of George and Hilda (Muller) Schneider and was a 1936 graduate of Hamilton High School. Mr. Schneider served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific. On August 27, 1947, in St. Mary Church in Hamilton, Ohio, he married Betty McMullen, and she preceded him in death on October 7, 2013. Clifford worked as a fire fighter for the City of Hamilton for 31 years retiring in 1979. He was an avid athlete, pitching fast softball, playing golf, and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Schneider was a life member of the V.F.W. and the Elks Lodge #257.

Survivors include two children, Linda (Bob) Wilson of Hamilton, Ohio and Clifford C. Schneider Jr. of Frankfort, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Root; a brother-in-law, Rodney (Nan) McMullen.

Besides his wife, Betty, he was also preceded in death by a brother, George Schneider Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating followed by entombment in St. Stephen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley 6820 Roosevelt Ave., Suite B, Franklin, Ohio 45005.
