Obituary

BROWN, Clyde, age 83 of Hamilton, died Friday, December 9, 2005 in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 18, 1922, the son of William and Prudence(Packer) Brown. On September 18, 1943, he married Evelyn Schuh. Mr. Brown served in the US Army during WWII. He had worked as a mechanic for Savage Auto Parts, for fifty-five years, retiring in 1994. A member of the VFW # 1069, he also was a member of the Eagles #407, and the Monkey Mutual Aid Society.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; five children, Caroline (Steve) Wilson, of Sevenmile, OH, Paula (Michael) Shaffer, of Middletown, OH, Ricky (Carol) Brown, Ronnie (Anita) Brown, and Donald Brown, all of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Doan, of Dayton, OH.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Clyde Brown Jr.; five brothers, John, Walter, Earl, Lloyd and Frank Brown; six sisters, Ruthie Burton, Luella Lentz , Eleanor Hickey, Helen Beckemeyer, May Belle and Hazel Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Dennis Dettenwanger officiating, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Monday in the funeral home, with VFW services at 7:00PM. Online register book and private condolences at www.zettlerfuneralhomes.com.
