SPINA, Concettina "Connie", age 86 of Fairfield, Ohio, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 in Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash, Ohio. She was born in New York City on April 5, 1923 the daughter of Louis and Angelina ( Schamante) Arra. On March 28, 1942 in New York City, she married Salvatore "Frank" Spina and he preceded her in death on August 1, 1990. She and her husband had formerly operated the Hamilton Smorgasbord in the Hamilton Plaza. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed Tuesday afternoon Ladies card club and her Farkle group.

Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn DiLorenzo; a son, Frank S. (Pam) Spina, all of Fairfield; six grandchildren, Anthony, JoAnn, Debbie, Christopher, Angela, and Adrian; eight great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Louis Spina in 1984.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in Sacred Heart Church. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00pm Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
