Constance Rae Kostomay (Bokeno) was born February 18, 1940, to Ralph and Dorothy Bokeno (Wetzel). Her early years were spent on Benninghofen Avenue where she attended Taylor School in Lindenwald. In the early 1950’s, her family converted to Catholicism, and she began attending St. Ann’s School then Notre Dame Academy and graduated in 1958.
She studied secretarial skills leading to employment at General Electric-Evendale where she met her future husband, Dan Kostomay. They wed at Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield in 1963. As a young couple they loved to spend time with friends and family playing cards, bowling, and singing along with Connie’s beloved player piano. She gave birth to her son Daniel Kostomay (Stevensville, Montana) in 1964, followed by Deidre Wimmers (Hamilton, Ohio) in 1966 and Denise Kostomay (West Chester, Ohio) in 1969.
The family shared many interests and adventures, including but not limited to travel, fishing, camping, Ft. Walton Beach, spending summers at Rolling Hills Country Club, entertaining and spending time with friends and family. Her husband, Dan, passed suddenly in 1981 and she bravely raised her three children on her own while maintaining employment at YES!95 radio and returning to General Electric in the early 1990’s. It was at this time that she met her second husband, William (Tobe) Frank. The couple split time between the Cincinnati area and Naples, Florida. They wed in December 2000 and remained so until Tobe’s death in 2023. During her three-year illness, she was kept in her home and cared for by her daughter, Deidre.
Connie is survived by her son, Daniel, daughters Deidre and Denise, Grandchildren Hannah (Brian) Wells, Amelia and Noah Wimmers, Daniel (Jack) Kostomay, and Luciana Kostomay, and two great granddaughters Gemma and Lyla Wells.
