MITCHELL, Daria H. age 92 of Fairfield passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018, at her home. She was born in Covington, Kentucky on November 21, 1926, the daughter of Frederick and Gertrude (Gruber) Bredestege and was a 1944 graduate of Notre Dame High School. On February 13, 1945, in St. Ann Church she married Kenneth W. Mitchell and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1988. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of St. Ann Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

Survivors include five children, Sister Daria R. Mitchell OSF, Kenneth H. (Sunday) Mitchell, Marian (Michael) Smith, Carolyn (Rob) Luckett, and Thomas J. (Mona) Mitchell; thirteen grandchildren, Angela, Joey, Michelle, Kelly, Melissa, Matt, Danny, Nick, Miranda, Tom, Ben, Alex, and Ashley; nine great-grandchildren, Jordan, Juliet, Kevin, Taylor, Robert, Carter, Eli, Troy, and A.J.; two sisters, Mary Riedel, and Edna (Roger) Burtraw; a brother, Fred Bredestege Jr.

Besides her husband, Kenneth, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna J. Hamblin; three sisters, Mildred Farr, Margaret Schneider, and Ruth Schnitzler.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Friday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Ann Parish.
