Snyder, Della Mae (Blanton) of Hamilton Ohio peacefully passed away on December 12, 2006 at Hospice of Hamilton at the age of 86. She was born to Sarah Aletha (Richardson) and Daniel Ford Blanton. Della took pride in her position at the Butler County Clerk of Court, for 17 years, and loved her work, her friends and colleagues. Her favorite pastimes were bowling with her league at Fairfield Bowling lanes, camping, fishing and traveling over most of the United States. She loved to entertain her friends' playing cards, cooking her wonderful dessert creations, and attended many social gatherings. She especially enjoyed being a member of the "Pongo" social club. Della enjoyed most being with her family members and was ready to visit any time an invitation was offered. In her later years her pets, Heidi and Tigger were her loving companions. Della was a member of St Ann Catholic Church, in Lindenwald, and was married to Paul Snyder on September 17, 1938, at St Ann's. She is survived by her 3 children, Marilyn (Herbert) Vidourek, Mel (Rosemary) Snyder, and Michael (Vickie) Snyder. She also leaves her nine grandchildren, Angela, Christopher, John, Michelle, William, Daniel, Joseph, Matthew, and Adam; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Della will also be missed by her devoted nephews, Richard Snyder and Glenn Puckett as well as other nieces nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, a granddaughter, Susan, her two brothers, Floyd Wood and Elmer Blanton and her sisters, Gertrude (Blanton) Puckett, Francis Ireland, and Dora (Blanton) Bultman.
Prayers will be offered at 10:30 AM Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Monday, in St. Ann Church, with Rev. Larry Tharp officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30AM-10:30AM Monday in the funeral Home.
