HARGET, Dennis R. "Coach" age 84 of Hamilton passed from this life to the next on Monday, October 5, 2015. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 3, 1931, the son of Charles and Roberta Harget and was a 1949 graduate of Hamilton High School. Mr. Harget was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the 97th fighter interceptors as an aircraft electrician. Dennis was the owner and proprietor of the Marilyn Dennis School of Gymnastics and Tumbling. Mr. Harget was a world class diver/gymnast for Ohio State University, placing 9th in the Olympic trials in 1946 on the trampoline. Dennis was a performer with the Hamiltonians (Jesters). He was a world renowned coach, internationally ranked judge, and Technical Vice President of the United States Trampoline and Tumbling Association. Dennis was coach of 15 world champions and 167 national champions through the USTA. He was recently decorated by the mayor of Hamilton and also inducted into the Hamilton City school district Hall of Fame.

Survivors include a niece, Susan Saldana from Corona, California; a nephew, Steve Schick of Palm Desert, California and Goodyear, Arizona; and adopted family, Rick and Rosie Baker and their daughters along with numerous friends and colleges;

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jacqulyn "Jackie" Schick; a brother-in-law, Jack Schick.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00AM in the Zettler Funeral Home Inc. 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8:00PM in the funeral home. Please do not send flowers, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dennis Harget Memorial Fund in c/o 5th 3rd bank.
