Donald C. Beer passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 89. Don was born on August 6, 1936, the son of Lilliam (Duerstock) and Raymond Beer, and was a 1954 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and proudly served our country for four years.

On October 12, 1957, in St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, Don married the love of his life, Anna Mae Lambert.

He began his banking career in 1958 and rose to the position of Senior Vice President with The Citizens Bank. After the sale of the bank, Don joined The First National Bank as Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, retiring in 1998.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Beer and Lillian Beer Scheid; his beloved wife, Anna Mae; daughter Marcia McCutchan; and stepfather, Oliver Scheid.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Linda (Mike) Sanders; son-in-law, Mike McCutchan; grandchildren Michael (Samantha) Sanders Jr., Abigail Sanders, Tricia (Joshua)Minton, Scott McCutchan, Erin (Ian) Muntzert; great grandchildren, Caiden and James Minton, Oskar Muntzert; and stepbrother, Richard Scheid.
