BOKENO, Donald age 84, of Hamilton died Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 28, 1930, the son of Anthony and Helen (Savelli) Bokeno. Mr. Bokeno was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War Conflict and was a Purple Heart recipient. On December 14, 1971, he married Pauletta West. Donald worked for Ford Motor Company Transmission Plant in Sharonville, Ohio for thirty years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Ann Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pauletta; a daughter, Laura (Robert) Abraham; two grandchildren, Brian (Beka) and Michael (Stefani) Abraham; three great-grandchildren, Elise, Mallory, and Lane Abraham; a step-daughter, Pamela Melenchen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean (Flaig) Bokeno.
Prayers will be offered at 10:30AM Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Tuesday in St. Ann Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30AM Tuesday in the funeral home.
