GIULIANO, Donald R. age 62 of Hamilton, died Friday, November 28, 2008 in Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 25, 1945 the son of Robert M. and Mary Ann (Burkart) Giuliano and was a 1963 graduate of Talawanda High School. On November 27, 1965 in St. Peter Church, Hamilton, he married Paula E. South. Mr. Giuliano served in the US Navy from 1965-1967. A retired Field Tech Representative, he worked for thirty-three years for Champion International and later for Smart Papers, for five years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of Queen of Peace Church, the Knights of Columbus Father Butler Council, and had recently been the council's financial secretary.
Survivors include his wife, Paula; four children, Maria Calia, of McMinnville, Oregon, Barbara (Kyle) Taylor, and Elizabeth (Paul) Sprague both of Cincinnati, and Paul (Jennifer) Giuliano, of Merrimack, New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Lauren and Joshua Taylor, Ethan Sprague, Mia Bella and Quinn Anthony Giuliano; a sister, Judy (Gary) Gray; two brothers, Rick (Pam) Giuliano, and Jim Giuliano.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Giuliano on April 15, 2006; and a sister, Kathleen Giuliano.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Tuesday in Queen of Peace Church, with Fr. Jeff Bacon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm Monday in the Funeral Home with Knights of Columbus services at 7:00pm.
