Obituary

HEINRICH, Donald C., age 84 of Fairfield, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 14, 1922 the son of Raymond F. and Elizabeth (Ohr) Heinrich and was a 1940 graduate of Hamilton High School. A veteran of the US Army, he served at Omaha Beach and Normandy, France during WWII. On June 7, 1947, in Hamilton, he married Pauline Schuyler and she preceded him in death on August 23, 1993. After the war, he became a tool and Die Marker for General Motors Fisher Body Plant where he worked for thirty-nine years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. An avid bowler, he participated in the K of C Bowling League as well as mixed couples leagues, for many years. He enjoyed going to the horse races with friends.

Survivors include his son, James M. (Teresa) Heinrich, of Fairfield; grandson, Jeremy M. Heinrich, of Fairfield TWP; a great grandson, Jeffrey Devon Heinrich, of Hamilton; a brother, Eldon Heinrich, of Fairfield; two sisters, Ruth Hunter, of Fairfield, and Dorothy Kuhl, of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Noma Heinrich, of Hamilton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by three sons, Timothy in 1952, Donald P. in 1989, and Thomas D. Heinrich in 2005; a grandson, Jeffrey Heinrich in 2006; a brother, Raymond Heinrich in 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Larry Tharp, of Sacred Heart Church officiating, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday in the funeral home.
