Obituary

HINGSBERGEN, Donald age 79 of Hamilton died Sunday, April 26, 2009, in Jewish Hospital, Kenwood. He was born on July 22, 1929 the son of Hubert and Stella (Theobald) Hingsbergen, and was 1947 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. Mr. Hingsbergen served in Korea, in the US Army during the Korean War. On April 14, 1956, in St. Ann Church he married Rosemary C. Bergamyer. He had worked as produce manager at Albers Supermarket for twenty-seven years and later at Marsh Supermarket, for seventeen years, retiring in 1991. A member of St. Ann Church he also participated in the Eucharistic Adoration at the church. In younger years he enjoyed fishing, softball leagues and he also was a Cincinnati Reds Baseball fan.

Survivors include his wife Rosemary; three children, Tari (Chuck) Hann of Mt. Sterling; Mark (Tracey) Hingsbergen of Hamilton; Jeff (Lisa) Hingsbergen of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren, Sarah Hann, Erin, Evan, Megan, Ryan, and Alan Hingsbergen, Noelle, and Joseph Hingsbergen; a sister, Mildred King, of Bradenton, Florida; three brothers, Firmin, Melvin (Marilyn), and Daniel (Mary) Hingsbergen, all of Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Merle, Hubert, and Francis Hingsbergen; two sisters, Celeste Engel, and Betty Hebauf.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Wednesday in Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Wednesday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen Mondiek celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
