HULSHULT, Donald J. Sr., age 81 of Hamilton, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his home. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 25, 1926 the son of George and Cecilia (Mick) Hulshult and was a 1944 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. Mr. Hulshult served in the US Army Aircorp during WWII. On May 29, 1948 in St. Stephen church he married Helen Jean Schobin. He had worked as a mechanical engineer at Hamilton Tool, for forty-three years, retiring in 1994. A member of St. Peter in Chains church, he also was a member of the K of C Father Butler Council.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Jean; six children, Donna Jean (Joseph III) Schroer, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Daniel Joseph (Karen) Hulshult, of Rowlette, Texas, Darrell John (Nancy) Hulshult, of Fairfield, Ohio, Denise Joan (Don) DeLotell, of Mason, Ohio, Donald John (Angela) Hulshult Jr., of Locust, North Carolina, and Douglas Jerome (Lynn) Hulshult, of Elizabethon, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren, Emily and Kathleen Schroer, Daniel and Andrew Hulshult, Benjamin, Mark, and Michael Hulshult, Christopher, Mary, Tony, Jon, and Matt DeLotell, Deanna and Krista Hulshult, Rachel and Hannah Hulshult; great grandchildren, Evan and Reese Hulshult; two brothers, Eugene Hulshult, and Gerald (Donna) Hulshult; sisters-in-law, Rose Mary (John) Riedel, Julia Anna (Joseph) Fisher, and Betty Schobin.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Wednesday in St. Peter Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Church, Badin High School or Hospice of Cincinnati.
