SCHELLENBACH, Donald E., age 84 of Hamilton, Ohio, died Wednesday October 10, 2007 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 25, 1923, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (Shuler) Schellenbach and served in the US Army Air Corp, during WWII. He earned a masters degree in economics from the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Schellenbach had been employed as a mortgage loan officer and was vice president of the Hamilton office of the Second National Bank, Star Bank, and finally US Bank, retiring in 1988. A member of St. Peter in Chains Church, he also was a past treasurer and board member of the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; two daughters, Donna ( Paul ) Gillespie, of Belle Center, Ohio, and Cynthia (Colon Brown) Schellenbach, of Grand Blanc, Michigan; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Doris and Ann Schellenbach; two brothers-in-law, Walton Weiss, and George Livingston; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Edgar Schellenbach; a sister, Ruth Albers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday in St. Peter in Chains Church, 382 Liberty St., followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am Saturday at church.
