WHITUS, Donald Ray Sr. age 78 of Hamilton, Ohio died Thursday December 25, 2014 in Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on February 2, 1936 the son of Oscar and Lear (Sawyer) Whitus. Mr. Whitus served honorably in the U.S. Airforce from 1954-1962. On July 26, 1980 in Hamilton, Ohio he married Beverly Jean Roop. He was a salesman, selling office systems, for thirty years, retiring in 1998. Donald attended the Millville Ave. Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; six children, Donald R. (Shirley) Whitus Jr. of Ross, Ohio, Catherine "Sue" (Bob) Wuebbling of Dent, Ohio, Mark A. (Sandra) Mayes of San Antonio, Texas, Lauria (Mark) Whittkamp of Cincinnati, Timothy (Doness) Mayes of Fairfield, and Gregory (Donna) Mayes of Kettering, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Tipton Whitus and Dewayne (Edna) Whitus.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorsey Taylor; and a Brother, Coy Whitus

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday in the Millville Ave. Church of God, 1369 Millville Ave. with Pastor Joe Clark officiating, followed by entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. and from 9:30-10:00am Tuesday in the church.
