EVANS, Doris M. age 88 of Fairfield passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at her home. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 6, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Schmitt) Hynes and was a 1947 graduate of Notre Dame High School. On July 19, 1973, in St. Ann Church she married Richard Evans and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2008. Doris worked as a bookkeeper for Kurfiss Electric and Lighting Supply for over ten years retiring in 1993. Mrs. Evans was a charter member of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include four children, Cecilia Sams and her husband Anthony Cecere of Fairfield, David (Kelly) Evans of Alexandria, KY, Mark (Anne) Evans of Norway, and Barbara (Garrett) Forman of Monroe; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Richard) Beer.

Besides her husband, Richard, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Charlene Sams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:00am Friday in the funeral home. Online register book is available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
