BERNIER, Dorothy F. age 96 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the Fairfield Pavilion. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 11, 1922, the daughter of Owen and Florence (Budde) Gardner. On May 27, 1979, in St. Ann Church she married George R. Bernier and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2016. Mrs. Bernier retired after working 25 years for Ohio Causality. She was a member of St. Ann Church. Dorothy will be remembered for many things, but most of all, she will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unending love for her family.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing her daughter Carol (Jim) Salter; two step daughters, Melanie (Steve) Goebel and Karen Lyons; a brother, Jerry (Pat) Gardner; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; a close friend of 90 years Marian Ogle.

Besides her husband, George, she was also preceded in death by four children, Charles, Marilyn, and John Burckey, and Jeanne Williams; four brothers, Bud, Don, Bob, and Merle Gardner.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Fairfield Pavilion.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Thursday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Larry Tharp Celebrant, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery.
