Obituary

GEORGE, Dorothy J. , Age 87 of Hamilton passed away January 13, 2007. Born January 4, 1920 in Cincinnati to Ray and Amanda (Bankemper) Thomas. She graduated from St. Ann's School and Notre Dame High School. Met her husband, Henry, in Long Beach, CA, and they married October 25, 1947 in St. Ann's Church in Hamilton. She is survived by her husband, Henry S. George; four children: Mike (Sandi) George of Martinez, CA, Lynne (Herman) Newton of Trenton, Tom (Debbie) George of Fairfield, and Donna (Dick) Fiehrer of Fairfield; twelve grandchildren: Jeff George, Jenna George, Archie Wells, Theresa Wells, David Byrd, Duane Byrd, Carrie George, Jeff Fiehrer, Todd Fiehrer, Jill Fiehrer, Tony Fiehrer, and Ty Fiehrer; ten great grandchildren: Zachary Cobern, Caleb Wells, Joshua Wells, Katelyn Wells, Sabrina Stockton, Amber Gill, Sarah Byrd, Emma Byrd, Casey Byrd and Justis Byrd; and her brother Jack Thomas of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her father Raymond Thomas, mother Amanda Thomas and brother Bob Thomas. Children were the love of her life and she thoroughly enjoyed them to the end. After suffering a mild stroke in 1996, she thanked God every night for allowing her to live another 10+ years to see six new great grandchildren. The family would like to express special thanks to Hospice of Hamilton who took such wonderful care of their beloved mother.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Wednesday in St. Ann Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00PM Tuesday in the funeral home.
