HEINZ, Dorothy M. age 87 of Hamilton died Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder Manor. She was born in Indianapolis Indiana on June 7, 1924, the daughter of Herbert and Laura (Griswald) Hartman. On August 31, 1947, she married Thomas A. Heinz and he preceded her in death in 1994. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter in Chains Church. She loved to play the piano and enjoyed entertaining residents at Schroder Manor.

Survivors include her four children, Tom (Lisa) Heinz of Stuart, FL, Jim Heinz of Fairfield, OH, Terri (Preston) Combs of Fairfield, and Karen (Bill) Confer of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanne Webber of Indianapolis, and Mary Evelyn Merriman of Greenbay, WI.

Besides her husband, Thomas, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Dick Hartman.

Prayers will be offered at 10:00 am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Monday in Schroder Manor Chapel 1302 Millville Ave. Hamilton, OH 45013 with Fr. Patrick Duffy celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00am Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
