Rigg, Dorothy age 89 nee Maupin & Jonson of West Chester passed away peacefully Monday, February 16, 2021. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 5, 1931 the daughter of LeRoy and Marie (Lenhoff) Maupin and was a 1949 graduate of Notre Dame High School.  On September 6, 1951, she married Soteros 'Chuck" Jonson and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1971.

In 1952, she graduated from Good Samaritan Hospital, School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.  She worked as a Registered Nurse retiring at the age of 72.  On May 26, 1978, she married Richard Rigg who also preceded her in death, January 1, 2006.  Dottie (Toots) was the life of the party and enjoyed being around the Cearley family gatherings.

Besides her husband(s) and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Myrtle Meece, Mary Cearley, brothers James, LeRoy, John, Joe, and Thom Maupin.

Survivors include her two children, James (Diane) Jonson; Anne (Rob) Smith; 5 grandchildren - Bryan Cheuvront, Lindsay (Dustin) Barkhurst,  Chris Walls, Andrew Jonson and Matthew Jonson; 2 great grandchildren - Braden & Avery Barkhurst; 2 sisters - Jane Auld and Betty Sroufe.; As well as many of nephews & nieces who she loved dearly.  Thank you also to her caring neighbors, Robin & Sue Wagner who she loved to visit with and share her stories.
