SCHICK, Dorothy L. age 86 of Hamilton died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton on September 10, 1924, the daughter of Samuel and Leota (Arnold) Ertel, and was a 1942 graduate of Hamilton High School. On September 9, 1950, in Hamilton, she married Patrick Schick and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1990. Mrs. Schick was a life long member of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church, where she had worked in the church office.

Survivors include her three children, Patrick H. Schick of Hamilton, Douglas (Debra) Schick of Fairfield Township, and Karen Farmer of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Samantha (Dave) Soete, Lauren Farmer, and Erin (Sean) Brueneman; close family friend, Magdeline Zink.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ertel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday in Lindenwald United Methodist Church, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home 2646 Pleasant Ave. Memorial donations may be made to the Lindenwald United Methodist Church.
