SLADE, Dorothy L. Age 78, of Fairfield, died Thursday, August 7, 2008, at her residence. She was born on January 4, 1930, the daughter of Myron and Helen (Gailey) Kendall and graduated from Hamilton High School. On July 31, 1948, she married Harry L. Slade and he preceded her in death in 1990. She worked at Ohio Casualty, Mosler Safe Co., Motor Freight Haeckles, and Second National Bank where she retired. Mrs. Slade loved traveling, arts and crafts, and playing cards and games with her family and friends. For over eighteen years she spent her winters at Bit-O-Heaven RV Park in Donna, Texas, where she has many friends throughout the United States. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fairfield, and transferred to Zion Lutheran Church in Hamilton. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela S. (Ricardo) Burbridge of Fairfield; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and an Aunt, Dorothy Kurtz.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Bruce Slade in 1978.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, with Pastor Daniel Snider officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
