ZETTLER, Dorothy M. age 88 of Hamilton died Friday, November 1, 2013, at her home. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 13, 1924, the daughter of Gordon W. and Gertrude (Warburg) Alston. Mrs. Zettler was educated in St. Ann Grade School and was a 1942 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. On October 2, 1948, in St. Ann Church she married Richard L. Zettler, MD. Dorothy was a member of St. Ann Church and the Altar Rosary Society. She was a devout Catholic, who devoted her life to family and friends. Her contagious laughter brought joy and happiness to all who met her.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; five children, Richard L. Zettler PhD of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Robert (Charlene) Zettler of Springfield Township, Ohio, William (Debbie) Zettler of Hamilton, Ohio, Janet (Don) Wolf of Hamilton, Ohio, and Carol (Randy) Hoelle of Kings Mill, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, Natalie (Jon) Leisinger, Andrea Zettler, Christa (Bill) Black, Matt (Angie) Zettler, Nate (Tiffany) Zettler, Rick (Jen) Wolf, Tim (Anne) Wolf, Alan Wolf, Abby Wolf, Adair, Casey, Delaney, and Camryn Hoelle; thirteen great-grandchildren, Clare, Mallory, Will, Ella, Aubrey, Libby, Zack, Nolan, Tatum, Madison, Miley, John, and Owen; a brother, Robert (Audrey) Alston; a brother-in-law, James R. Zettler; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1978, father in 1979, her sister, Mary Ann Alston in 1962, and sister-in-law, Marian Zettler in 2011.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Tuesday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00PM Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Hamilton or Stephen T. Badin High School.
