HARRIS, Douglas Age 74, Hamilton, died Tuesday , October 24 2006 at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 11, 1932 the son of Luther and Nellie (Winkler) Harris. He graduated from Ross High School in 1950, and joined the Air Force he served four years. He retired from Goettle Construction in 1987 after 30 years. He was a life time member of Am vets post 2 in Hamilton along with the Eagles, Moose, Elks and the Monkeys . He moved to New Smyrna Beach Florida in 1992, where he was active in American Legion Post # 17 & # 285 , he loved golf, and fishing and leaves behind numerous friends who loved him greatly and in his children's eyes there was no better father and he will be greatly missed.. He is survived by Doris Harris of Nashville Tenn. And his children Larry Harris of Liberty, In., Debra L. Edwards and her husband Joseph of Hamilton, Ohio and Bryan D. Harris and his wife Kimberly of New Smyrna Beach Florida, and Michael R. Harris and his wife Nichole of Nashville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by 3 brothers and 6 sisters; Steve, Billy, Marty, Gladys, Bernice, Shelby, Judy, Faye, Darlene. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother Floyd and one sister Connie and a nephew Woody Stuart. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 in the Proeschel-Crawford-Zettler Funeral Home, 547 Main St. Friends may call from 10-11:00AM Saturday at the funeral home.
