RILEY, Edna age 69 of Hamilton passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 16, 1945, the daughter of Sheridan and Lola (Cox) Bowman. On May 15, 1962, in Leslie County, Kentucky she married Wayne Riley Sr. Edna was a member of Stahlheber Baptist Church. She and her husband founded Wayne's Garage on Pleasant Avenue.

Edna was the matriarch of the Riley family. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; five children, Tina (John) Lee of Georgia, Rhonda Furginson, Lisa Haley, Theresa (William) Floyd, and Wayne (Cindy) Riley Jr., all of Hamilton; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary and Ernie (Liz) Bowman; four sisters, JoAnn Langdon, Alece Underwood, Barbie Hazelwood, and Sally Kash.

Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine you did for me. Matt 25:40. Edna lived this by helping numerous individuals through life's difficult circumstances. She was a mother to all and a wonderful example of compassion and giving. She will be greatly missed.


Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Duke, Ronald, and Wayne Bowman; a sister, Lori Bowman.


Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. Harold Thompson officiating, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
