STANDER, Edward J. "Pete" age 94 of Hamilton passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born in West Chester, Ohio on September 26, 1922, the son of Joseph J. and Philomena (Wulftang) Stander, and was a 1940 graduate of Union Township High School. On September 28, 1946, in St. John the Evangelist Church of West Chester, he married Eileen M. Hofmann and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2000. Pete had been a life long farmer in West Chester Township. He was active in farm sales, real estate, and clerk sales with public auctioneers.

Survivors include four nephews, Don (Rosiene) Kohls, Jerry (Jeanne) Kohls, Ken Kohls, and Robert (Connie) Kohls; nephew–in-law, Cliff Fuerst.

Besides his wife, Eileen, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Stander; a sister, Elizabeth Kohls; a niece, Sandy Fuerst; and a niece-in-law, Barbara Kohls

Visitation will be from 10-11:00AM Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester, OH 45069. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Rita School for the Deaf.
