TOERNER, Edward C. age 87 of Hamilton died Sunday, August 3, 2014, at his home. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 1, 1927, the son of Edward B. and Elda (Curtis) Toerner. On November 13, 1948, in St. Ann Church he married Mary L. Levenson and she preceded him in death on September 3, 1996. Mr. Toerner was a patrolman for the Hamilton Police Department retiring in 1982. Ed greatly enjoyed time spent with family and friends fishing and boating on Dale Hollow Lake.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Gary) Hoelle and Cindy (Tom) Puma both of Fairfield; four grandchildren, Tommy (Jill) Puma, Jennifer (Brian) Jett, Sara (Tim) Jung, and Greg Hoelle; six great-grandchildren, Holly, Connor, and Grace Jung, Hayden and Dane Puma, and Brady Jett.

Besides his wife, Mary, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Toerner.
